10 Election Thoughts

Nov 05, 2008 12:12

1) Oprah in the crowd at Obama's election headquarters? In the CROWD? Interesting that she didn't have VIP status, and thank science Obama didn't have her as part of the proceedings. I'd rather see Jerry Springer - he's more politically astute (seriously, you should've heard his radio show).

---

2) Jesse Jackson in the crowd, crying. Was he crying tears of joy? Or was he crying because he failed miserably (so many times) at doing what Obama did? Or that Jesse didn't get the chance to "cut his nuts out"?

3) I missed Tim Russert.

---

4) Good speech by McCain. Good idea to keep Palin quiet. Pissed off at McCain supporters booing - leave the poor sportsmanship to the radical Liberals, guys.

---

5) It was strange seeing Kenyans celebrate Obama's victory. Not disturbing strange, just different strange. Bad audio/visual synch on the live report too - it looked like the guy was reporting via YouTube.

---

6) I'm looking forward to hearing my favourite political Christian Radio show tonight (What's Right, What's Left)...the host will be flipping a lid over the results.

---

7) I wish people would stop pushing same-sex marriage now, the political climate isn't favourable, leading to Constitutional Amendments against it. If there was more patience, there'd be less backlash in the future as the idea becomes more and more tolerable to the majority of people in the country. I'm all for same-sex marriage, I just don't think that now is the time to press those changes on people - they're not ready.

8) Ohio has a history of shooting itself in the foot - No casino in Ohio = less money staying in state, less money coming into the state, more money going out of the state, and no new jobs. Brilliant idea people - let's keep an industry out of the state when businesses are fleeing Ohio. Ohio - it is what it looks like on a map - the armpit of America.

---

9) Rush Limbaugh will be interesting again.

10) No more Political ads! Viva Viagra!
