The Braindump is now live
I've had this account for five years now, and this is the first time I've updated it. I'm basically doing so to tell you to go look somewhere else.
When I created this account, I didn't really have much to say of my own account. Now that I've started coming out of my shell a bit, I find that I occasionally do. But I'm a control freak: if somewhere is gonna store my words permanently, I want complete access to it, to be able to log into the database server directly and bash out SQL commands.
My ISP account comes with domain hosting, 250MB of SQL-enabled webspace, and a shell account. Up till now, I've only used it to store a few image files. But if I use somewhere like Flickr or Photobucket to store images, that'll be more than enough to host an infrequently-updated personal blog, at least for a while.
So, yeah. Go take a look at The Braindump. There's not much there yet, but I'll add stuff as it occurs to me. That's what blogs are for.
ETA: Thanks to torakiyoshi (who has kindly set it up for me as I don't have a paid account) you can now read my wibblings without leaving LJ by friending the_braindump. Be aware, though - I don't get notified about comments posted there, and it doesn't seem to respect Wordpress' equivalent of cut tags. I'll have to play with my settings to see if I can make it a bit more f-list friendly. Still, enjoy!
