I had to freaking skip an entire case to stay on track. Since they're all unlocked, I plan to go back...but I love 1-4 so much that I at least had to say something!
MY. FAVORITE. CASE. EVER!
I'll think about how wonderful it is as I kill myself playing 1-5 for the next two days. T_T
I started making notes, but it took forever and I got immersed in playing. Not to mention I played it sporadically and didn't always have something to write on. So here's the beginning:
- Noticing Phoenix and Maya’s sibling like relationship showing up.
- Christmas Day is a horrible time to be in the detention center.
- Edgey looks so pathetic in detention. He seems to think Phoenix came there to mock him, which tells me that at this point the really doesn’t get that Phoenix cares about him. Otherwise he’d somewhat recognize his good intentions, even if he didn’t accept them.
- LOL at Phoenix being like “Nah. It’s a trick” and saying that he doesn’t have that much free time.
- They are so painfully gay. Wow. “I didn’t want you to see me like this!”
- Gumshoe's faith in Edgey is quite touching. ♥
Yeah, didn't get far.
So, the case of Emo!Edgeworth and Gourdy, who spawned many Kink Meme fics. Often paired with Gant and swimming. -_-;
God I hate being in court against Von Karma. He is such a bastard and his face really puts me off for some reason. Although I think it is supposed to. I do enjoying watching him bash his head against the wall though.
...I wish I could have used a taser on him.
I remember thinking this case was really winding the first time I played it. It's a case-within-a-case, with DL-6 and Edgeworth's current murder trial woven together. 1-5 does the same thing, but manages to kill the concept by being so fucking long that I almost didn't finish. Here, it works though, and resolves some of Edgey's internal issues in the process!
It was way, way too much of both Lotta and Larry though. >.< I was speeding through their portions to get back to Edgeworth and away from Gourdy and his tentacle porn.
Phoenix inheriting the pasta shop is still hilarious to him. How you choose to lie to Yanni, who is just pretending to be senile. XD Oh Phoenix. ♥
Two words: Baby Edgeworth
The story for this case is so solid, that I can ignore characters I find grating and the odd pacing. My inner-Edgeworth fangirl loves how much backstory we get. And by Narumitsu fangirl loves how Phoenix defends a very reluctant Edgeworth. The pacing is decent and the plot is not too outrageous where I find myself saying "HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?!?" (Max Galatica case, anyone?).
