Lay Offs, Sickos, and a little Sumthn sumthn
WotC layoffs today. As usual, just before holiday. But really, it doesn't matter when. In this economy, it is never a good time. A few old school writers that have been doing this a LONG time (20+ years) were let go today. I don't yet know the extent of the damage. Good luck to everyone.
So, for the last week or so, I've had trouble breathing. FINALLY today, the rest of the illness kicked in which is a great comfort. I was afraid something more serious was going on. So strangely, hooray for being ill! haha
A little sumthin sumthin? As of two days ago, I had $4 in my bank account which has been making me feel like a waste of flesh. It was 7 days of $4 in my account. There is work coming in now. I might even be able to buy groceries soon! This is good news. It has done wonders to improving my mood!! In January, I will get a reasonable check from the retailer that I have my arts/crafts placed with. Lots of stuff selling both fine art and crafts.
I'm trying for a 'pipe dream' job and a real possibility of a job. The pipe dream job is in Connecticut, of all places. That might as well be MARS! lol. The other job is here. I'm trepidatious, but a little excited too. Dare I dream?
