unexpected wisdom
I posted a story I'd written about my WoW character to my guild's forum yesterday. Even though I and others have posted stories before and nobody ever comments (not sure why), I started to get uncharacteristically insecure, thinking that if nobody said anything, they must have hated it and just didn't want to tell me. I confided this to Dan in an IM, saying something like, "I feel like the first time I gave one of my bad stories to (my best friend) to read. I was 13."
His reply: "You know, we're still 13. Just less often."
That kinda sums up a lot of things, really.
(Turned out they did like the story--people just don't comment on our forums, for whatever reason.)
