surreal weekend experience
so... saturday morning on my way to meet D for breakfast, I'm walking on the sidewalk and I hear some guy say:
"stay on the right, please, lady!"
and without really thinking about it I moved to the left side to stand aside on the grass. It sounded like he was on a bike (he was) and I was much closer to the left (think: 1 step left to grass, 4 steps right to grass)... and only after stopping on the grass, did I realize that I did the exact opposite of what the dude had asked for, so as he rides by I say "Ooops. Sorry for doing the exact opposite of what you asked for" ~sheepish grin~
to which he replies,"That's alright lady. You can come closer to me anytime." and rides past me.
(aw shucks.)
and then he turns around (really, he should have stopped talking after that first reply) and says, "Your ass looks mighty fine in them jeans" *wink, wink* as he slows down and his bike riding turns wobbly.
eeek. ummm. thanks? exit stage right.
(I crossed the street and walked on the meridian for a bit.)

in other news, this past weekend I:
- ate HUMONGOUS pancakes for breakfast w/ D
- took a nap
- went to the vinery to ogle shiny stuffs
- met S for tea/walk/dinner
- watched the SITC movie w/ K and ate ghee corn!!!
- went to the Jefferson Speedway flea market w/ chuck4 after which we ate a fantastic (and HUGE) turkey lunch, including ice cream @ pine cone --- which is oneo f my favoritest truck stops and turns out is also one of his favorite truck stops (he had a waffle w/ cherries & whipped cream)
- bought new doc martens & winter boots
- got depressed walking through Michael's (sometimes those stores make me think about how much *junk* is in the world and it makes me not want to make any more stuff or buy any more stuff and possibly just clear out my hosue of all stuff but the bare minimum)
- cleaned off some fused glass
- took a nap
- woke up cranky and watched a couple episodes of House
