Lol ok hello then. Alex was my co-coach for a while. I started out diving in Calgary in the Rocky Mountain Diving Club which is where Blythe Hartley (and her partner Emily) train, who are Alex's good friends and team mates. I moved to Quebec for a few years and continued diving there. Under Blythe's encouragement I enrolled in the same club Alex trains in. In addition to doing his own training, he often asst. and or/co-coaches the younger competitive divers. Often when you get passed group-level classes in diving and are being coached solo, you share training time with other divers with the same coach, and we both trained with Michel Larouche.

He is only 3 years older than me, so we got along very well and by the time I was at provincials and then nationals, we were teammates too. I'm still very close with Blythe, and I keep up contact with Alex regularly. He heard from Blythe that I was doing press, but as a n00b to that community, didn't have strong connections which is vital for freelance workers, so he offered to let me tag along for as long as I wanted. And it would be completely stupid on my part to turn down such an offer so I took him up on it.
