Two Things
Okay, first, had my first test today. Didn't go so well. So, now, I'm throughly disgusted with myself because it wasn't that hard of a test. Beh. I hate, hate those multiple choice/fill-in-the-blank test where the teacher just takes out one word from a scentence in the book and you have to find the right one. It didn't help that it was online and my mother was sitting right there watching me take it and then pulled a face when I told her what I made. So not doing that again. I just hope the rest of my family doesn't find out 'cause so don't want to hear about it. Just want to move on and do better next time.
Next, you guys are never going to believe this. I've been tutoring this girl for awhile now, and sometimes she has to read novels like any class, right? Well, this week they were reading To Kill a Mocking Bird. Classic novel. Well, today, the school tells they have to stop reading it. Why? Because it had some bad language in it. Please. Hello, these are a bunch of nineth graders. I'm pretty sure that they know what these words are. And it's TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD for pete sake. I mean, who hasn't read that in school? *shakes head* Next thing you know they'll be taking out Shakespeare for 'naughty language' and 'too adult content'.
