John and I are going to Chicago for Thanksgiving this year, hurrah! We found a cheap flight and will be staying with my sister (Christmas presents for the inlaws from Wildflowers again this year, I think
www.shopwildflowers.com ). I am so excited to be with family I like for the holiday. We are going from the Nov 22nd to Dec 3, flights with Continental, cheap. Bath and Body Works, here I come! P, if you have any requests, let me know-I will post them from USA baggage isn't a problem. I am hoping to find more pear (but not pearberry). Happy thoughts.
In other light news, J and I had our first stirfry for dinner with our home grown chinese snow peas (mangetouts) and they were yummy! I have 3 pumpkins the size of cherry tomatoes, my first courgettes are nearly ready for picking, and the onions, carrots, and cabbare are smiling. I love having my veggie patch!
Work has been draining. Lots of people failing to attend and those who do attend are very high maintanence. Ugh! I have one family who keeps calling to reschedule an initial assessment-I have offered them 3 appointments already and it irritates the hell out of me because they cancel short notice so I can't book anyone else in for that slot. It drives up the wait list and makes me crazy.
I also have a raging sore throat and I hate having colds. (but I get to have Thanksgiving with Gretchen and share a nice bottle of wine with her so life is good!)
