Ouch! Some lovely ambiguities in here, regarding Ianto's interactions with Jack (how much was the alien, how much himself, to what extent was the alien able to possess him because it played on his insecurities) -- and such a painful ending!

Ouch! Everyone is so broken.

And I don't even like Ianto usually. He always seemed a bit hollow to me as a character on screen but you managed to give him some dept.

This is good in a sad way. About halfway through I was worried it was just Ianto, but then the alien merging makes it okay and not character assassination. Sad, though, because of the idea that there's help for the world but not them. =( *sniffle*

I don't like Ianto, but I still try to treat him fairly when I write him.
