There's a company that's looking likely to open up a new office next to us over here at MASSMoCA. The guy who runs it is a fellow Williams alum, and was directed to me as somebody who might be able to help him make a technical hire. I have some ideas for him, but shgb suggested I also post the position here, which seems like a good idea.
Basically, he needs a full-time developer to produce a variety of internal tools and functions for his company. The initial work would be heavily focused on Web development, with some XML-based transaction handling. Later, there would also be some use of serial communications, to (I think) get data from and issue instructions to a variety of energy management devices. This company helps large businesses to manage their energy needs and curtail their power usage.
It's a fulltime role, and would be based here in town. I don't know much more about the position, but if any of you are interested, please let me know, and I'll direct this guy to you. I'd love to help this guy out, so as to help MASSMoCA and ensure that we have a good new neighbor.
