Car Failure

Tonight, my car has once again failed me. Something involving the transmission has happened, most likely the transmission linkage, but more than that, as something is now leaking where it was not before. Black fluid, can't say it's oil yet as I just changed the oil not to long ago.
but it wasn't leaking before an now it is. I fear it's somehow transmission fluid and I have a serious transmission failure. The car has put me "Back on my feet again".
