hey, i havent made an entry in a really long time.
I went on vacation with the band, to florida, and then on a cruise to mexico. it was lots of fun... the rides and everything in orlando was fun, and it rained every night but that really didnt matter, we had fun anyway. the cruise was lots of fun, even though a lot of people got confined to their rooms. the cruise seems more geared towards adults, but with my friends there, i didnt get bored. honestly, i think one of the funnest times we had was the last day, when kerrigan and amanda were confined and we just hung out in the room and watched movies/tv, and i had a great time and we just laughed and laughed. we went out to lunch and dinner and all on that day, but all around that was one of the funnest times and we pretty much just hung out in the room. apparently, its not where you are, but who your with, that makes a really good time.
i also spent a lot of time with EJ on vacation, which was nice. i think i got more attached to him, after spending nine days together and all. i think the fact that i can spend nine days with him and only love him more is a great thing.
then i just hung out for a week or so, didn't do too much...
one important thing i did was go to new haven with aisha, allison, and erin.. it was really good to see aisha again.
the past 3 days i went to williams college in williamstown, mass. i went for a multicultural program thing-- as you all know i am very multicultural lol. in all seriousness though, there was a diverse group of people there, but white people like me were included. anyway, they split us up into 2 groups, one of humanities and one of science. i was in the humanities group, and we stayed in a house with incoming freshman. we attended a class with them (philosophy) and it was cool. i talked in class and 2 of the incoming freshman apparently didnt agree with my point of view and werent afraid to express that. but it was fun. everyone in my group (about 15 people) all slept in one big common room, which seemed like a pain at first, but it ended up being nice. it was hard to go to sleep because really everyone had to go to sleep at the same time, but it was nice because everyone was forced to spend time with everyone else. i really liked the people i met there, and i like the school too. we got a tour of the school on the last day we were there (why the last day? i dont know for sure) and got to see freshman dorms that day, because the house we stayed in was upperclass housing. williams freshman dorms were so nice-- 4 out of the 6 freshman residence halls have suites as housing.. meaning there is one (really big) common room and 2 doubles or 1 double and 1 single off of this room. there is also one (really nice) bathroom (with marble sinks--at least in the one i saw). so thats 3 or 4 people to a common room and a bathroom.. thats not bad at all. there are also 2 other residence halls with a regular hallway set up with one big common room and a whole bunch of doubles off the hallway. still, these doubles are supposed to be pretty big.
on the way home we also stopped at amherst.. well we didnt really stop for more than 5 minutes actually.. we stopped in the admissions office and got a course catalog and a few other papers, and we drove through the part of campus that cars could go through. i thought amherst looked really nice, but i want to go back and check it out more. the people in admissions were friendly though.
today we have captains practice for soccer.. i'm kind of excited, i'm glad we're starting. i missed the first practice on monday but i'm looking forward to today.
ok, i'll try to update more often now... bye guys :)
