waking hours aren't worth the wait

enter the mindset you somehow acheive when sleep deprived. ah, now we're having fun! can you feel something light about your head? light radiating from it? light as in less weight than when you woke up? you should thank your head everyday because it makes you a very tiny bit shorter than
when
you
woke
up.

new music please.
new experiences please.
new arms please.
new hearts please.
new smells please.

old friends please.
old cars please.
old houses please.
old junk please.
old kindness please.

what makes a memory? since time is always moving and everything is technically only in the present for such a short short while (whoever knows this for sure, yes, you philosophers out there, how long is the present? i've heard you say it doesn't exist... and don't give me shit about light coming from the stars). is something that happened an hour ago a memory now? is something that was just said to me a memory?

most of the time, the first thing i see when i wake up is an object. without memory of it being mine, it would have no association to me. therefore i would not be conscious of anything such as "i'm in my room" or "i'm awake now."

feh! slam dunks, remember those things? they were basketball cookies that you dipped into frosting. chocolate, vanilla frosting. graham cracker, chocolate frosting. ugh.
