Holmestice!
So since Holmestice has finished posting this round, and it'll be a week until The Reveal, I'd like to highly recommend you go read my gift fic, as it is basically amazing.

It's a gorgeous, first person John POV on trying to overcome Sherlock's barriers to a relationship following the events of The Hounds of Baskerville. Also, title taken from Beatles lyrics, so this is obviously quality.

I had forgotten how very *immediate* first person perspective can be, usually because it's not done very well. But this... this plunges me into the story and into John's head that makes me feel as though I'm rediscovering what first person perspective can *do* in the hands of a talented author. Revelatory. I wish I had better words to explain how deeply I experienced this story.
Of course, the work I did is also out there, still temporarily anonymous, you're welcome to guess at which one it is should you be into that sort of thing. (I think it's obvious, but then, I would, I can always recognise my own style. ;) )
