Y'know, I'd been seeing this fic post for a whole and bypassing it the whole time b/c I thought it was a Sherlock-Merlin mashup (and, well, no offense to fans of the latter show, but it's not one of my fandoms). Then I read through your A/N this post, and you had my attention *immediately.* Medieval/Renaissance studies? White, Malory, and weird headcanon? After that, I couldn't start reading fast enough. ;)

Love the way you've woven together the mythology and characters, and even managed the Obligatory Holy Grail Quote so gracefully. I'll definitely be watching for updates now! :D

High praise indeed from the author of Being Sherlock! ^_^ (Which, for the record, is amazing and wonderful and I'm still waiting to find out if John's going to end up as Sherlock's 'human' servant)

And yeah, that's basically why I put in the author note, b/c I kept getting comments referencing Merlin, and nothing against that fandom, but it's not the story I'm trying to write. (And it is very definitely not the characterizations I'm using).
