Attack the Block
Me and my best friend were having a movie marathon one day. We started with:
MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN (which she screamed)
THE ROAD (she didn't wanna watch it alone cuz she said it's so damn scary... but it didn't move me -_-)
I AM SAM (we cried... it's a family thing)
ATTACK THE BLOCK (awesome! we didn't expect it!)
COP OUT (lol)
Why is this movie the one that got me? Cuz even before the movie wasn't finished, I already said to myself: I AM NOT DELETING THIS IN MY PC. xD
So there are 5 gangster type of guys who were robbing this girl in the beginning. Well in that view alone, you'll think they're not the main characters.
Then in the middle of the robbing, something from the sky fell down. I don't know what London event that night was since they say it's one of the busiest day of the year. There were fireworks. So the girl escaped and the 5 checked it out. Moses got scratched while he was looking inside the car it landed on and because he was mad about it, they chased it down and killed it. It's as if, it was nothing. They weren't even a bit scared!
When they went in, in that little box thing to kill it, we thought they were gonna die. Turned out they didn't and was pretty happy they killed an alien. LOL. I don't know how to narrate this in an interesting way, you go check the movie, please. Haha. Also, Biggs wanted to show his friends that he can jump that high but one of them pulled him back. Well, he get to jump when they were chased as the movie progressed. xD
They wanted to keep the alien for the meantime in Ron's weed room because it smells. And they want money out of it. So this guy with shades gave him weed to sell to like, pay the rent of the alien thinggy.
Oh and I really like his eyes. Although blue is my favorite but how the lights reflect on them, makes me jealous.
Moses kept the weed in his socks so his friends wouldn't know. But the police chased them down because the girl they robbed reported them and it was found. Good thing the police was killed by the aliens though. xD
So more aliens came down and they were like "let's kill 'em all"... Err, do you already know you're not going to die and everything is just an adventure? LOL
They were all pretty hyped up going back to their houses and picked up weapons. Although Moses' house wasn't shown.
Pest really has a cute bike. He has a children's bike without the support. xD And I don't get why Biggs has to angkas with the one on the bike and not on the motorcycle.
I really like this part. It's so "friends forever" them. xD Pest tried to explain why they crashed into his car but this guy still want to kill them so they all took out their weapons. As if they have something against the gun. xD
These two have pretty good roles. They were following the guys around. The aliens can sense them since it has no ears and eyes, only the gift of scenting something [you'll know soon]. They killed one! Hahaha, and you thought it was a water gun... they put gas in it. And saved Biggs who's trapped in the metal bin for so long. LOL
This was the part where we thought Pest is gonna die. Noooooo!!!! LOL. He only got bitten. Me and my best friend was like, let's not continue watching it if he dies... HE DIDN'T. YAY! lol
Amazing glowing alien teeth eh? :D They also crashed into the home of the girl they've robbed since they saw her and she was still going in. She was like: GET OUT! And they were like... stare... and: SHUT UP. lol
But unfortunately, their gang reduced. 2 of them died. Dennis and Jerome. It feels so sad. The gang isn't complete anymore.
So here is the explanation why they are the only ones being chased. Since they killed the first alien that landed down that must be female and is leaving the pheromones scent for the male to follow, the scent is all over them. And it can only be seen on UV light. Oh, Pest took off his cap/hat whatever. xD
Look at how many there is that's chasing them.
Well, Moses decided to blow them all up in one place and lead the aliens to his place where the girl had already prepared the place for the event. xD So he killed them all, but they got arrested after. LOL
And this is why I am excited to come home everyday and watch this over and over and over again. Everything is such an adrenaline rush. There's no stereotyped emo, loser, arrogant character. All of them are plain cool. :D For me, there's no dull moment.
I really thought that it's about hip hop or dance stuff when I scanned the movie. Since the characters were mostly black, but... british accent! WHOAH.
I want to make a fanfiction about this one. I think Pest will be the main character but I don't wanna change anything though. My friend who looks like me want to be in the fic, at least she could run around even for the fic. LOL. My best friend want to be in too, it's not okay if she isn't. LOL. Okay, but I don't know where to start...
