Everyone seems to be in love with the Office, so I thought that I would point out a couple of brilliant clips from the original UK version. These are both from my favorite episode, which I think was the 3rd one overall…
I didn't realize that Martin Freeman (of Love Actually and Hitchhikers Guide fame) was the original "Jim Halpert" character from the UK version. Very cool. And most people should recognize Gareth from the Pirates of the Carribean movies.
Yep. Gareth = Dwight Dawn (who is on Studio 60 now) = Pam
I think the secondary characters are much more well developed on the U.S. version, but I enjoy the David Brent character who is more of a real-life self-centered jackass than Michael Scott, who is more cartoony. I think all of the other characters are stronger on the U.S. show.
