Well, not going to CA tonight, figuring out tire-changingness when it isn't dark. I called my parents to let them know, and I was very careful to sound all cheerful and undaunted because I knew they would freak out if they thought I was upset. TO NO AVAIL.
My father just offered to drive to Vegas (3 and a half hours from where he lives) to change my tire. I'm going to start telling people this when they ask me why I went out of state for college.
Then I had to calm my mom down who was crying on the phone because she was afraid I was going to be upset, then was worried that she was upsetting me by being too worried.
My three time drop out brother is clearly the only person who has the slightest claim to sanity in this family.
