so many random thoughts:
tuesday:
thought about disliking cigarette butts, pondering nathan first making me really think about it
had a sudden STRONG desire to see a 4 inch long lizard, while on my walk to morning classes
thought about my absolute favorite spring flower. wondering if it would be bad to cut one out of a french person's yard... or if i should ask first... hm. wondered about buying one.
looking forward to getting paid.
stressed over wedding stuffs.
skipped fencing.
felt guilty when the fencing master wrote me that night telling me he hoped that after the break (which begins this weekend) that i would find myself again in good form.
wednesday:
hoped that the housing refund office would give me money immediately. not tell me id know in quinze jours a peu pres.
worried about wedding stuffs.
was displeased by the three responses i received about bridesmaids dresses. je vous jure - je m'en fous!
set-up my french telephone. perhaps should have waited so id have enough money for food this week. but what's done is done.
now i have a french cell phone. you can write me should you want the number :)
didnt talk to nathan very much - which made both of us sad.
wondered why nathan said nothing about package two
listened multiple times to the louis armstrong cd mom sent
showed the girls the pop lock and drop it video.
they had dinner here - they always leave a mess behind. particularly sarah.
there were chocolate crumbs all over my bed. i had to shake off the comforters to get them all. sigh.
we had okay chili and watched 40 year old virgin.
im not sure what to think about the movie.
mom talked to videographer - and still likes them.
thursday:
spent the morning at the school that i least like.
have decided to talk to the principal about the most disrespectful class.
gave two of the three classes a test. hm.
wrote jennifer west again - cause she might be coming to visit during her spring break - to escape from issues in the US
that will be interesting, since we dont really know each other...
trying to figure out what to do about germany, roxane, and this weekend.
needing to call mawmaw and write letters to people - but id much rather write in my journal - one of the few unsuperficial outlets available to me.
read some entertainment news - b/c that always makes me realize that i have all that i need in life. a good family, a good man, love, a job, education, a roof, good friends, enough money... all my senses. :)
"what a wonderful world" - i wish i could always see it in that light.
spring is very helpful in acheiving that goal. i love springtime.
and my two most interesting thursday thoughts:
one - a student today asked me a question. he said "if a baby is born of a person from the antilles (west indies), and a person from france - what does that make them" i couldnt decide if it was a random joke, or... what exactly was going on at all. so i just said, um, i dont know? both? so he said "west indian and french?" to which i said, yes, i guess and moved on.
a few minutes later i went to see how his test was coming along and he said - "you know, that baby is me". the kid beside him said "why didnt you tell her that to begin with??" and the first boy said "i didnt know how she'd react to that - since im not really 'French'". how sad. i spent 20 min walking home thinking about that. the issues children have because of immigration and race. very very interesting to me.
also interesting, the boy's name is nathan. (nah tohn)
hmm.
two - i was watching joan rivers give fashion predictions for the oscars and the reporter asked her what she thought of the whole anna nicole stuff going on - in summary, she said - it's disgusting - if it werent so tragic for the son and that poor little baby, and we could just watch it on a superficial level, it's so disgusting, it's the perfect thing to get a slice of velveeta and watch on tv.
slam to velveeta!! aww.
her face is probably so messed up because she eats "fancy" cheeses. at least she agrees that the A.N.S. business is disgusting, and disturbing that everyone is basking in the mess (merde, if you wish).
there you have it so far.
think im going to make some lunch.
yay for journals!
oh, and im going to bayeux and mt st michel ce week-end.
