I took Thursday and Friday off last week to give me a five-day weekend. Joe was in France until Saturday. On the 4th, it was a "Catherine and Mommy Day," which featured anything Catherine wanted to do, and then a baseball game later. She got to see Baxter again, and we stayed for the fireworks. (Important note: it is a bad idea to park in the Right Field Garage when your seats are on the left field side in the upper deck for a sold-out game which nobody will leave early.)
Then, Thursday, I took her up to my parents', where she spent the next two days. And I...cleaned house. Spent about 20 hours, all told, straightening, cleaning, and purging, and I'm not done, yet. But it was time well-spent. Didn't even goof off too much - I put on Game of Thrones, Season 1, and got through five episodes (I've seen it before, so I knew what I could safely tune out and what I couldn't.) Then Catherine came back Saturday and Joe Saturday evening.
Yesterday was just kind of a lazy day. Did my grocery shopping, and made dinner, but otherwise I didn't do anything productive. But I needed that kind of day, given my previous three!
