There's one of those super-cheap radio spots playing on just about every station I listen to that states, "There is an investigational weight loss device currently being investigated."
Redundant much? What else would you do with something investigational? How about switching "investigational" with "experimental" or "explorational" or leave it out altogether? As for "investigated," why not "studied"?
Who edits these things, anyway? Don't they know how to use a thesaurus?
