I hope to have time to type an actual, personal update sometime later today, as well as to catch up with what all of you have been doing if I can - this week has been a little nuts. Till then, I leave you with this report from the Congressional Budget Office, regarding Fiscal Year 2009:
The federal government recorded a total budget deficit of $1.4 trillion in fiscal year 2009, about $960 billion more than the deficit incurred in 2008. The federal deficit rose as a share of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) from 3.1 percent in 2008 to 9.9 percent in 2009-the highest deficit as a share of GDP since 1945.
Obama's 2009 deficit is more than THREE TIMES BIGGER than Bush's record-setting 2008 deficit. In fact, I heard yesterday (and will try to find a cite) that Obama's deficit just for the month of October was the same size as Bush's 2008 deficit.
Can you guess my confidence level in this administration's desire and/or ability to change this in a positive way?
