Woo-hoo! Booked my flight to SanFran, got tix to the show! Mom and I are going. First road trip we've been on since Santa Fe in '06, which is remarkable - we used to go at least once a year. We're flying to SFO the morning of 1/16 (note to US Air - upgrade your system. The Y2K problem is well behind us, but, when I typed 1/16/10 into your calendar, it gave me 1910. Umm...No. <-- NOT MAKING THIS UP). Since we won't be able to check in until 3:00 (we arrive around 10:00 am), we're renting a car and driving up to Napa, where we'll lunch at Mean Mr Mustards (home of the world's best Bloody Mary), dine at Rutherford Grill, and hit wineries in between. With luck, I'll be pregnant and, therefore, designated driver.
Sunday we'll see the show, and Monday, we'll get to wander around SF all day.
Frankly, I'm not a fan of SF. But it'll be good to get away for a few days, and Joe's folks will...STILL...be here. And I do so love Napa.
