There's a commercial that just started playing on the radio that really bugs me. It starts off with something along the lines of, "A greater portion of our population than ever before is 65 and over, with baby boomers adding more every year."

No, they aren't. At least, not yet. The earliest year for the baby boom that I've heard is 1945, with most accounts showing it beginning in 1946. This means that NO baby boomers have added to the 65 and over crowd yet.

I realize that's not the point of the commercial (which is about various financial programs for seniors), but errors stated as "facts everybody knows" really bug me.
