I just don't understand why The Left attacks Sarah Palin and her family with so much passion, vitriol, and hatred.
Why has David Letterman not received a strong reprimand - at the MINIMUM - from CBS? What, is it okay to make awful jokes about the teenaged children of a political figure if she's a Republican? Remember what happened to David Schuster when he said the Clintons were "pimping" Chelsea (which, frankly, they WERE - and SHE is in her late 20s)? He was suspended for two weeks. Imus was FIRED for saying that female athletes were "nappy-headed." And yet Letterman makes awful sexual jokes about Palin's 14-year-old daughter, and then "apologizes" by saying he intended them to be about the 18-year-old. Because, obviously, that's perfectly acceptable. Where is NOW? Where are the feminists?
If he had made those same comments about one of the Obama girls, there would have been outrage.
You know, it is sad. He was funny, once upon a time. Those jokes were pathetic. If that's what he's been reduced to, it's no real surprise that his so-called "humor" is so angry and bitter.
