Book memage from troubleagain.

1. Do you prefer to read hardcover or paperback books?
Hardcovers, mostly, but paperbacks for travel.

2. Do you have a favorite place to read in your home?
I used to prefer the den, but, now that it's a guest room, I read in bed.

3. Do you have a favorite place to read away from, or outside of, your home?
Not yet, but I will - part of the back yard will include an area for reading.

4. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
I like to, but don't always. I prefer potato chips (Kettle brand, especially), so, I don't usually have them in the house.

5. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
It horrifies me. Unless it's a textbook, I would NEVER write in a book.

6. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
Bookmark, usually. That's one of the things I like about (smaller) hardcovers - dust jacket flaps make great bookmarks.

7. Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
I prefer fiction, but I do read the occasional political treatise.

8. Hardcopy or audiobooks?
I have never listened to an audiobook. I did just go halvsies with Mom on Atlas Shrugged, though, so I'll probably listen to that once she's done with it, because Joe really wants to hear it (he's not a reader).

9. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
It kind of depends on the book - books with short chapters I'll read to the end of the chapter before I stop; books with longer ones I just put down when I reach a stopping point (if I feel like stopping, I should say).

10. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Write it down to look it up later?
I don't want to brag, but it's very seldom that I come across an unfamiliar word.

11. What are you currently reading?
Atlas Shrugged, Seven Up by Janet Evanovich, and Georgiana by Amanda Foreman.

12. What is the last book you bought?
I bought Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny and A Lion Called Christian at the same time. Liberty and Tyranny is next on the list to start.

13. What is your all time favorite book?
Shogun.

14. Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can read more than one at a time?
As one might tell from my answer to #11, I read more than one - usually three: one in the tub, one next to the bed, and one "general." Currently, though, A.S. is both next-to-bed and "general," as I'm enjoying the re-read so much I carry it around the house with me.

15. Do you like re-reading books?
Yes, very much. It's part of the reason my "to read" list is so long - I keep re-reading things I've already read (and they're usually pretty lengthy), instead of new stuff.
