Wow. An Illinois politician charged with corruption. What a surprise.
This story cracks me up.
The U.S. District Court complaint, which is excerpted below, alleges that Blagojevich was caught on FBI wiretaps noting that the Senate seat "is a f***ing valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing."
You can't make these things up, folks.
Two questions: he's still Governor - will he still be allowed to make the appointment if he does it before he's impeached or resigns? And second, who's his replacement?
