I have about eight days to take between now and Thanksgiving (I thought I had ten, but so be it). I'm going to schedule six of them, and leave two through October for emergencies - I'll take them in November if I need to.
I'm taking this Friday for the pool inspector (God willing).
Then there's the 10th, for Catherine's baptism.
The 15th, for her next pediatrician appointment.
And then I'll take the three days before Thanksgiving so I have a whole week. If I don't need the other two days, I'll take the day after Election Day (whether to celebrate or mourn remains to be seen; either way, I'll be tired after watching the coverage into the wee hours if it goes that late), and then another random November day.
