Also, if anyone can tell me the tags I need to put that info into one of those nifty box thingies that'd be appreciated. I've looked around online and can't find a tutorial to make it work.
Why do I need to send an example of my reading?
Your submitted clip will be used as a sample to give people an indication of how a fic might sound being read by you, this will help them to decide when submitting a request as they will be given them option to pick a preferred reader.
How long should my sample be?
Preferably not something too long, but long enough to give a good impression of your sustained reading style. 5-10 minutes should be about right.
Does my sample need to be Winn?
Your sample can be anything you choose. If you want to record Winn fic, either read your own fics or get permission from the author to use their fic as a sample before you record. I hereby give permission for my own fics to be used by anybody who wishes to do so/cannot find something else.
What happens once I'm approved?
Once you're confirmed, your details will be added to the list of readers below. Then it is simply a matter of the waiting game until somebody requests you as a reader. If there is no preferred reader chosen, you may claim the fic for yourself.
If I'm busy, do I still have to work as a reader?
We all understand that Real Life gets in the way of fandom sometimes. If you need to drop out or take a break from working as a reader, send me a PM or e-mail and I will update this page to list you as 'out of action'. I will update again when, and if, you decide to return.
What if I'm working on a fic when I need to take a break?
This will be handled on a case by case basis, depending upon the length of time you will be absent. The topic will be discussed with the fic's author, the person requesting the fic and yourself to try and reach a solution that suits everybody.
