a cute to start the post...
olivia likes the new windowbox.
so, results of the junk-trasound are clear. i knew they would be.
so... i had a "one-on-one" with asshat yesterday. he schedules these about every other week, but he has cancelled the last two. so yesterday's he had rescheduled from wednesday, and scheduled it for an hour. i asked him right before i went in, "can i bring my tea, or are we gonna be yelling?"
he said bring the tea.
so it trned out to be essentially a first quarter progress report. which was 100% great. and it's all documented in the system, and we tweaked some goals and objectives to tailor them more to me. with the layoffs coming up, he wants all the stuff i do to be documented for whoever i report to next. which struck me as very... nice?
and of course, i always wait fr the other shoe to drop, but it didn't.
asshat thinks he's not making it through the layoff. i have no idea if he will or not. i know i will make it through, mostly because i am one of three people on site who CAN do my job, and the only one who can do it to the caliber i do.
so yeah, he's setting me up to do well, whatever the outcome of the layoff will be.
he also put something in there about the award i got. he said he wanted to make sure that that got in there. i told him "you know, you haven't said anything about {the award} yet."
he kind of looks at me and smirks a bit.
"i'm just sayin, you haven't said one thng about it either way."
so he relents and says "congratulations on the award," with a real smile.
i said "thank you," and meant it.
so, a good moment with a guy i have a tendency to fight with. i am starting to think he almost apporeciates the fights we get in, for whatever reason. or he feels like he CAN fight with me, and not other people? i don't know. /overthinking
so i will be off to work shortly, and then the weekend. cassie's final move is this weekend, and my friend's band is playing saturday night, which should be a good time. other than that, no plans.
