thirsty thursday, anyone?
i'm doing better today. i squared up with the mechanics this morning, so my ball joint repair is paid off. while i was there i had them check my brakes, cuz the ABS light and the e-brake light were staying on, but the brakes felt fine to me. they are, in fact, confirmed fine now.
i also asked the mechanic (who is a family friend that has taken care of all of my, and all of my extended family's cars) how long a truck like mine is supposed to last. now, i don't want a new truck; i still love mine too much. but it is 10 years old, and i live in new england where the cars rot away woth the salt and sand. he said that if i keep taking care of it as well as i do, it should last me forever. the engines are good, the vehicles are solid. so that made me happy :D
so, asshat was out again today, so i didn't get a chance to talk to him. but i had lunch with my dad and i talked it out with him, which made me feel better. i still intend to chat with him.
people have been comig up to me and asking "hey, is (asshat's name) here?"
i should probably stop deadpanning, "i haven't seen him since i killed him on tuesday."
