i kick Comp. Lit. ass!!!
not so much with Spanish, but definitely Comp. Lit.
the oral exam went very well. i was terrified this morning, but when i went in for it i was actually able to forget that i was being graded on it. which was great. i was so worried that i'd be too worried about being graded. so i just got to have a conversation with three awesome professors about books. which is, you know, my thing. i LOVE talking about books, especially cool books like the ones i put on the list i sent them. and i got to talk about the themes in the books, and the act of reading and the art of writing. and i was kind of contradictory about some stuff, but i made it intelligible. it was so wonderful. and when Professor Roberts said, "okay, you're free to go now" i was SO happy and relieved! i NEVER have to think about my thesis again if i don't want to! not that i don't want to, but i don't HAVE to. w00t!!!
the happiness was short-lived, however, as i then had to go back to Bryn Mawr to study for the Spanish exam. that was not a happy experience. in fact, it was a painful experience. but my classmates had trouble too, i think, so here's hoping for a curve... at least it's over with.
two more papers and an exit interview and then~~ i'll be DONE!!!
