I commenced my 27th year with a rather Wednesdayish flair. But it was still a good day, in a quiet sort of way. :)
My super-awesome supervisor is a fellow Bastille Day birthday celebrator so my birthday shall never go forgotten while I'm at Villanova. But he seems to have a thing for getting me ridiculously ginormous books that I despair of ever finding the time to read.... Then it was just a regular workday, with ups and downs (but mostly ups, because even the downs there are so much better than elsewhere).
On my way home, I stopped at the French bakery in town and got myself a raspberry chocolate mousse thing of great deliciousness and also a wee cupcake with a frosted French flag on top (it looked like just a plain white cupcake, but there was secret chocolate mousse inside-I love those French people!).
I had cards and emails and such from awesome people (*smooches* to those of you on LJ/DW:
fish_echo,
propinquitine,
mirabile-dictu, and
tagetes), and presents from home (more books I don't have time for ... but then I had a brilliant idea: I get scads of vacation time each year now, so I can totes take a week each year just for fun reading!), and some monies from other family (yays! I am going to buy me a new camera, for I have been very sad without one these past few months).
Vive la revolution! \o/
