Video: [
Librarians Do Gaga]
I am proud to be part of such a dignified and hip profession. *g*
Meanwhile, I just sent a message defending intellectual freedom to the awkward side of my family who pretty much believe exactly the opposite of everything I believe. (My grandmother is always sending me rage-inducing forwarded emails, which mostly I strive to ignore, but intellectual freedom is my thing, so I couldn't keep quiet.)
All in a day's work for a librarian!

Also, hi, btw! Two people have now commented on my lack of online presence lately, so:
1) still alive here! *waves*
2) still love the job! :D
3) mid-year resolution: post more than once a month!
I've been keeping busy with work (happily busy!), so between that, lots of visitors, and the crazyness of trying to keep up with

amplificathon/
amplificathon (I'm a volunteer archivist for the audiofic archive), I haven't had much free internet time lately.
I also write for two other blogs now, so you can read those if you're interested in my work doings:

barefootsong for my personal professional stuff (also fun stuff, but it's part of my professional image, so it's a slightly different flavour than hereabouts) and the [
Blue Electrode], my digital library's blog. Practically no one else wants to write blog posts ever, and I am super-excited about writing blog posts, so it is pretty much my own extra blog space now. :D
