I turned 26 whilst sitting on the plane at the gate at O'Hare in Chicago (yes, I know my precise birth minute and even factor in time zone differences...). M. assures me that I still look a decade younger than I actually am. I think I can actually pass for 18 now, though, since waitresses in restaurants don't seem quite as smitten by my cuteness these days. (Well, I guess paying with a credit card helps with that.)
Thank you to
argosy for the hearts and
berlinghoff79 for the cupcake to decorate my LJ profile.
Thank you to
punkin495,
lacontessa11, and
hikaru_daydream for the LJ posts of happy wishes and love and smoldering hot British dudes.
Thank you to
eslpethsheir for the kind message and for thinking of me amid her own goings-on.
Thank you to
propinquitine and
fish_echo for the lovely emails (and to Fish again for the socks!).
Thank you to M. for a lovely email and also for tomorrow's crêpe + Harry Potter adventure.
Thank you to
bretagnes_rose for a lovely phone message, assuring me of my awesomeness.
Thank you to my wonderful mum and stepdad for birthday phone calls (including singing!) and for not one but four presents, even though I told them I would be perfectly happy with just one since we are going to Italy in August, but my mum couldn't bear the thought of me not having presents to open. ♥ (Yeah, I'm spoiled. But at least I'm not a brat!)
And thank you to [
Cakelove] for my free birthday cupcake of supreme deliciousness.
Strawberry frosting on chocolate cake. Best cupcake ever. *nodnod*
Alas, rather blurry. My camera was feeling uncooperative. But please note my rouge, blanc, et bleu bracelets (+ white top and blue jeans) in honour of the day. I am more patriotic for Bastille Day than Independence Day. *g*
