Happiest of days to berlinghoff79! *blows kisses* ♥

For poetry today, we have E.E. Cummings, my favourite poet ever.

into the strenuous briefness
Life:
handorgans and April
darkness,friends

i charge laughing.
Into the hair-thin tints
of yellow dawn,
into the women-coloured twilight

i smilingly
glide. I
into the big vermilion departure
swim,sayingly;

(Do you think?)the
i do,world
is probably made
of roses & hello:

(of solongs and,ashes)

I just love his use of language so much. It always takes my breath away, and twirls it around, and sighs it happily back into me. ♥

Censorship presentation tonight! Google Presentation is ready (though it's only supplementary, since the internet wasn't working in the classroom last week; mostly I like using these sorts of things in order to give people something to look at that is not me), the bibliography handout is printed, and I'm pretty sure which book I want to use as a read-aloud (I keep dithering between two, but I think it'll be Pockets). I am going to rock this presentation because this is a topic that's important and interesting to me, so I can actually talk about it, and it is also a good topic for getting classmates to contribute to the discussion. \o/

freedom to read, presentations, school: classes, authors: e.e. cummings, poetry month
