I love Neil Gaiman so much! He's just won the Newbery Award for The Graveyard Book and his
blog post about being woken at "five thirty in the bloody morning" and trying not to swear at the Newbery Panel is awesome (and tagged "god i love librarians"!). ♥
I actually haven't read The Graveyard Book yet, but he read part of it at the National Book Festival and it was (of course) brilliant. I am totally moving this up the reading queue now. :D
I haven't read any of the
other award books. (Actually, I did make it about halfway through The Underneath by Kathi Appelt, but it was just too weird and I didn't finish it, which is rather shocking for me.) In fact, I don't think I actually read very many books published last year. There are just so many awesome books from other years, it's impossible to keep up. Oh, the life of a book geek.
Off to lunch now!
