Hello, lovely flisters!
I'm looking for short stories. Good ones. Anything goes, but I'd especially love some that are fast-paced and draw you right in.
No, I don't really have examples of what I'm looking for. I am not a big reader of short stories. I haven't read very many outside of school. Possibly because I was traumatized in my AP English class, where we read nothing but incredibly depressing short stories (and novels, of course, which were also depressing). Outside of that, pretty much all I've read are stories by Poe and Borges. Oh, and fairy tales, of course! Fairy tales count, too, if you want to tell me your favourite tale. In fact, I would love to hear what your favourite fairy tales are, me being a fairy tales geek and all. But, you know, other types of short stories, too!
