Weathering the storm
Woo, I didn't get swept off to Oz by a tornado! \o/
I didn't feel like swimming in to work, so I'm taking the day off. (Also, I was up late last night worrying over the tornado warning and the house-rattling thunder and pretty much hiding under my covers in true "I come from California where there is no weather to speak of" fashion.) I slept in a bit, and now it is still raining and flooding, though tapering off. And also tornadoes are like hurricanes in that they both involve swirling winds and crazy storms around them (and are both scary).
So, really, I think this calls for a viewing of "The Storm"/"The Eye". Yes.
Also possibly some scone-baking, if I have the ingredients. And, of course, loads of tea to soothe my frazzled nerves.
.eta: No scone ingredients, alas. But I forgot that "The Storm" and "The Eye" are on the same disc as "The Defiant One" so I just had to watch that, too. It's up there in the battle for favourite episode ever. Rodney is such a brave little toaster. ♥
