List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. In no particular order:
1. What About Everything? ~ Carbon Leaf
I discovered Carbon Leaf a few months back and they are awesome. However, this is one of my favourites at the moment. (Which may or may not have to do with how totally McSheppy the lyrics are.)
2. Como un trueno ~ Los Ilegales
So much fun to dance to! I am a terrible dancer, but I have fun at it. The lyrics are super-fast, though, so I always trip up when I try to sing along. I used to think the middle part of Shakira's "Ciega, Sordomuda" would be the hardest Spanish lyric for me to master, but it's been surpassed by this. I still have fun trying to sing along, though, as I try to dance. :> Anyway, the lyrics are pretty cool, too. Part of the chorus: "Con sólo una mirada, tú me pones loco / Con sólo una mirada, me patina el coco" ("With just one look, you drive me crazy / With just one look, the coconut skates me" - "the coconut skates me" is apparently an idiomatic expression for "drives me crazy"; I just think it's funny).
3. La Festin ~ Camille
From the Ratatouille soundtrack, which is full of awesome instrumentals, but I am so, so in love with this song. I have no idea what it says since I don't speak French, but I love the rhythm of it. And it just has a happy feel. :)
4. Romeo & Juliet ~ (a cappella)
This song just never gets old. I think it's one of the prettiest songs ever. I got it from a friend (who I think got it from a friend whose brother was in that group), so I don't know which a cappella group it is, but they are amazing! I heart this song to itty bitty pieces and can listen to it on repeat for a good long time. The original version is by Dire Straits, but this is way prettier. (Did I mention it's pretty?)
5. Let's Go Fly A Kite ~ (Mary Poppins soundtrack)
Hee. :) It's a fun, springy song.
6. Tea ~ The Lindley Park
It's a song about tea. How awesome is that? Very awesome! It's catchy and fun and it's about tea!
7. Jane Eyre In Jeans ~ David Scott Crawford
Oh, I love this song! It's a retelling of Jane Eyre in a really cool song. It's got lovely rhythm and music, fascinating lyrics, and it's Jane Eyre! It's up there with "Tea" for Awesome Songs About Things I Like.

(The irony? We were just discussing DRM and the DMCA and related stuff in my info tech class last night. That's not why I put the plug for buying the songs though. I do believe in supporting artists I like.)
