though i have closed myself as fingers

Oh, I am woefully out of practice with my webdesign skillz. This should not have taken me two hours. (We're talking coding here. I expect the actual designing of the layout to take a while 'cause of all the image and colour tweaking and such. But the coding for the basic template should not take so long.) I don't really like it yet. It's a good start, but I am still trying to sort out the tiny details. If anyone has suggestions, they would be most welcome. :) (This is my term project for my Info Tech class.) Also, if anyone knows how to do a mouseover dropdown menu image thing, that would be awesome. I am wanting to make those image links along the top into dropdown menus. I learned that aeons ago and haven't used it since, so it's rather (a lot) fuzzy in my head.

Today seems like a good day for my favourite poem ever:

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near

your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully, mysteriously) her first rose

or if your wish be to close me, i and
my life will shut very beautifully, suddenly,
as when the heart of this flower imagines
the snow carefully everywhere descending;

nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility: whose texture
compels me with the color of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens; only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
