Ill-met by Moonlight
Dude. Moonlight is awesome. I am so hooked on this show. I very nearly exploded with my efforts to stifle my sympathetic squeals of terror for Mick at the end. (This is why it's bad to watch squeal-inducing shows when other people are in the house.) This episode was definitely better than the pilot episode, which was good enough to get me interested but not quite as good as it could have been. And they've gone and made Beth's boyfriend a nice guy, which makes me sad because of course we have to root for MickxBeth. Poor Josh. And he can already tell he's losing her. :( I can't wait for next week! I mean, obviously Beth is cool with the vampire thing, since they pretty much gave that away in last week's promo, but still. The tension at the end of today's episode was very ... GAH!
So, other Friday shows:
Doctor Who (3x13: "Last of the Time Lords") ~ Er. Not a very good finale. Even leaving aside my bitterness that Martha got to be a world-walking hero (at least the paradox loop thingy made everyone forget that). I was kind of willing to stretch myself into believing the "everybody think about the Doctor at the same time" thing, but then he was flying and that was just too much. I'd already heard mediocre reviews of the series 3 finale (while avoiding actual spoilers), and I have to say I agree. Very meh. I did like having Captain Jack back for a bit. He's cool. ♥ And I was so pleased that Jack and the Doctor got to reminisce about Rose a couple episodes back. I think it's great that she still gets mentioned even though she's gone. (And not just because I'm a DoctorxRose shipper, though that is of course the main reason. It just also adds a touch of reality, because you don't just forget someone who's travelled with you for two years [especially when said travelling involves saving the universe, multiple times]. Plus, Rose is awesome. [I'm a hopelessly devoted Rose fan; I can't help it.])
Stargate: Atlantis (4x02: "Lifeline") ~ Okay, so I'm rather lost as far as plot (being that it's the fourth season, and I've only just started watching), but the characters are great fun. Oh, Rodney, you are so adorable with your Canadian-British English. ♥ He says "zed"! I have no idea what a ZPM does, but a Zed-P-M is just awesome. XD Well, and Rodney is just adorable all-around. *cuddles*
