Oh, great. Now I've gone and got myself hooked on MORE Friday night shows. As if I needed that. Seriously, all but two of the shows I watch are on Friday night, which inevitably means that there's more than one show on at the same time that I want to watch.
Thankfully, most of these shows have odd seasons, so I should be back to one show per hour within a week or two. Monk and Psych are off until January and the Doctor Who series 3 finale is next week.
Still, I don't know how I end up in these messes. I try not to watch a lot of TV shows, but somehow I've been getting sucked in to a lot of shows lately ... and on the same night. *sigh*
So tonight started off with the first half hour of Doctor Who (3x12: "The Sound of Drums"). I'm not sure my brilliant idea of watching the first half live and then watching the rest on YouTube is the greatest idea, since I inevitably get caught up in the story and then find it hard to tear myself away in time for Avatar. But somehow I manage. So then I watched Avatar (3x02: "The Headband"), yayness.
Those were my normal shows. Then I watched the series premiere of
Moonlight (1x01: "No Such Thing As Vampires"). Vampires, w00t. ♥ So it's about a rogue vampire who works as a private detective in LA. Yes, it's a total rip-off of Angel. (Except that I like this show [I never was a huge fan of David Boreanaz].) The aforementioned rogue vampire seems like your typical vampire-with-a-soul. But he's good-looking (ha, yes, that's an important quality in a vampire), and he seems like he might have some not-totally-cliche character aspects, but we shall see. Also, it has Jason Dohring in it. He plays another vampire, but I literally started giggling out loud when I saw his first scene because he is totally Logan Echolls. He's still got all the same hand gestures and stuff. Which makes me happy. Since they stupidly cancelled Veronica Mars, I've gotta get my Logan fix somehow. And now he's a vampire. It's still kind of hard to see him as a vampire, though; all I see is Logan, which makes me wonder where Veronica is. :( (Also, they stole Hearst College from VM! I wonder if there will be any other VM crossovers...) Anyhow, the show is full of vampire cliches that made me giggle, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless (or because of that...). :)
And THEN for some reason I watched the season premiere of Stargate: Atlantis (4x01: "Adrift"), which I haven't even seen one episode of before. But now I am intrigued. =/ I really only wanted to see Colonel Carter's crossover 'cause she was awesome in Stargate SG-1. But then I discovered that Jewel Staite is also on the show. (I loved Kaylee on Firefly! ♥ She was so adorable. Her character on SGA is not adorable, but Jewel is, so ... yeah.) And then John and Rodney are really funny and cute (and now I know what
flyakate is always going on about). So I think I might have to watch this show when I can, too.
Ack, too many TV shows! But at least most of them have odd seasons, so I'm not watching an obscene amount of TV since there's usually only 4-5 shows on at one time. But I really must not pick up any more shows.
Ciao for now!
