12 hours of food and movies = WAY A LOT better than moping in my room alone ^_^
so there were about 20 people there, and one SUPER-CUTE kitten. it was so much fun. those of us who got there first didn't really know how to cook any of the stuff we were attempting to cook. so we were like, "mashed potatoes! you peel the potatoes, boil them, and then mash them!" and i (who only know how to make pasta, eggs, and cakes/cookies) somehow ended up in charge of making the cranberry sauce. >_< so we had this half-hearted recipe for cranberry sauce. it was from someone's professor, who said they had made it and it sucked, so instead of cooking the cranberries for 10 minutes, we should cook them for 20-30 minutes. except we discovered the stove in the kitchen is, like, student-proof or something and thus does not get very hot. so i ended up cooking the sauce for about an hour! but it turned out very well. i can cook cranberry sauce! w00t!
fortunately, other people showed up later who actually knew how to cook complicated stuff, so everything turned out yummy.
so we watched a bunch of movies, mostly mine because i have dvds like whoa! ("like whoa" was our catchphrase for the day.)
Movies we watched:
Star Trek: "The Trouble With Tribbles"
Cool Runnings
The Princess Diaries
Love Actually
Red Dwarf: "Parallel Universe"
Shrek
The Princess Bride
series: star trek,
