here i am
so i haven't updated in a while. in fact, i haven't updated since i moved to fresno. many of you are probably wondering if i just simply vanished off the face of th earth. well sorry to disappoint you, but i am alive and kickin'. i think the reason i don't update anymore is because i don't want sit down and write everything out, because the writer in me wants to tell it in an entertaining way, and i would spend hours writing and re-writing a simple blog, not only for everyone reading, but also for myself.
so in that case, i will do what i've done in the past:
THE LIST!!!!
- moved to fresno for school. i am attending fresno state, and i'm having fun. the place i'm living is a little sketchy, but it's all good. the location is great, because it's a ten minute walk from my room to the campus. can't beat that.
- i still haven't taken advantage of the bowling alley on campus. i've been in there a couple times, mostly for the family guy pinball machine, but i haven't been bowling yet. someday.
- i am slightly disappointed by the lack of orange soda on the csuf campus. it's all pepsi products, and i guess orange soda isn't good enough for college students. but they have like 100 different kinds of energy drinks (okay, maybe like ten or fifteen, but still, that's a lot!).
- got plugged into a church. we went because a family we know here go to the church, and we tried it out and we really like the college group. they're a good bunch of kids. after a week, i felt like i'd been there for years.
- i think that lord of the rings is slowly becoming my favorite book. and not just the lord of the rings, but all the books that go with it. we read part of the silmarillion for class, and i loved it. i want to start over and finish it, since i had to rush through it to make it for the deadline. nuts man!
- got a job working for advanced medical imaging. i am the night receptionist/secretary. i work monday through friday right after school till closing. closing could be anywhere from seven to nine o'clock. it pas eleven dollars an hour, which is awesome for a college student working part time. and when schools out, i can go into work early and work a full forty hours. i got hookups for the job from the clarks (the family responsible for the church we're going to). it was totally a God thing, and i'll explain it in greater detail someday.
- for those of you reading this on livejournal and not one of those "networking websites" where it states your relationship status (i.e. facebook, myspace), michelle and i are still going out. we don't see each other that much, but i'm still thankful that i can see her, even if it's just for ten minutes while we're walking from my class to hers.
- i've got past the halfway point of the semester, but i suffered greatly from the mid-semester slump. i stopped reading a lot of my homework, and put things off till the last minute. after pulling close to an all-nighter, i realized i've gotta be more serious about this, and i'm back, and i'm workin' my tail off.
- i still haven't been to a fresno state home game, and i live across the street from the stadium! oh well. one of these days.
- i slowly wrote this over three days. i'm glad i'm finally done with it.
