As the title of the show is "Unmentionables:The Underwear Show" I think that your entry is very appropriate. i really can't believe that you were censored. If I had know about this earlier I think I would have entered a photo of bloody panties, or men' with some wet spots, etc.
I like EBSQ and feel sorry that there are so many uptight, uncreative, timid people who think they are "artists" .
If one is going to have a show with the above title, which is "titillation itself" one should expect something besides trivia !

HaHa!
Thanks Joy, the bloody panties would have been awesome!
EBSQ has changed so much, and yeah the number of 'uptight people' has increased dramatically.

"the right of people not to be offended by what they see in the shows."

So, **knowing** you are having a few shows with themes that you know are going to attract work that is, as you say, "edgier", why don't you put up a content warning or age disclaimer? Or put that up for a segment of the show that contains the art you're worried about? I rather see that, than outright censorship like this because of a fear of offending someone. If a viewer is afraid of being "offended", then they don't have to look at it.

Why post titillating and provocative themes, then pull out your censorship club when the art comes in, responding to your Subject??

There are a few entries, that could imply the same suggestion as mine, IF they are interpreted by the viewer that way.

We will agree to disagree.

Hey, good to see you post again! I was wondering what happened to you :)
I like your painting, and don't understand the jury's attitude to the art that came in, considering the given theme. . . . a theme They selected.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I guess I crossed that invisible "no no" line. ;-)
I've been very busy....goofing off.
