Harry Potter LARP ♥
I spent the previous weekend at a Harry Potter LARP and IT WAS FRICKIN AWESOME! *_*x
I played a 7th year Hufflepuff and ended up being Prefect cause there weren't enough players. XD I do believe I did a good job though, despite the fact that this was my first LARP ever.
I think the best moment was when the Slytherins, who had a little plot of their own going on in the dungeons, sent someone up because they needed a Hufflepuff for a scapegoat. At this point, Sunday evening, it had already be established that my character could talk her way out of any situation (moments prior I had reasonably explained how letting in the young Thestral was totally not my fellow Hufflepuff's fault, even though it actually was), so I figured she'd master this one, too. Now the Slytherins weren't at all pleased that the hooded figure (whom I had let into the castle) had gone and almost killed a 2nd year student with a potion and now they and their head of house were viciously questioning me. Amber however argued that she couldn't have left the poor woman out in the dark and cold, and by the way how come no one had hugged the little girl yet who almost got poisoned? And no, she didn't *send* anyone down to the dungeons, it was more like hinting, kinda. And why didn't she call a teacher? Well aren't we older students supposed to be more independent? But I did leave her all on her own, unsupervised. Sure, because I needed to go to the toilet real bad. I was about to invite her over to the Hufflepuff room for waffles, but she was already gone. I lost 40 points for Hufflepuff, mostly for talking back. It's so frustrating when you have the perfect explanation for everything but aren't allowed to finish a sentence! Good thing I can talk real fast.
For the rest of the LARP, the Slytherins used every OT opportunity to tell me how awesome I was. My ego feels quite well right now, thank you for asking. XD
Another awesome moment was during the big battle against Morgane Le Fay (who came over to prove that she was way more awesome than Merlin and by the way students these days are all weaklings and seperatists) Snape was under the Imperius curse. A friend and me didn't know that yet (IT that is) and only realized it when he took her wand away. I tried to run but was stupor'ed out of the air, litterally. I kinda love fake-falling but had never done it from full speed running - it went great! XD From what Snape and my friend told me OT later it must have looked quite dramatic.
I could go on, really. Like how that super strict and conservative head master didn't let us talk during meals, how Snape became head teacher for Gryffindor and later head master, how when his player had to leave, our permanently drunk Hufflepuff teacher became head master himself. How we Hufflepuffs group hugged Snape in front of the whole school and how we had to clean his office with toothbrushs for it. How Amber is kinda starting to have a secret thing with a pure blooded Slytherin from her year.
Can't wait for next time. *_*x
