LJ, we need to talk. XD The fourth (and final *sigh*) volume of the deviations series arrived a few days ago and I finished it today.
The fourth volume is quite a bit longer than its predecessors and deals with Phantom's issues. Remember him? Tobias' ex-sub who's getting therapy. Turns out his therapy isn't helping because he needs an actual Dom in his life; Bradford tries to fill that role for him, but he got hsi own boy to take care of and ultimately everyone knows whom he really wants and needs. In the end it's Noah who invites Phan into some sort of relationship with him and Tobias. It's a little rough at the beginning but all's well that end's well right? And this novel sure does. I'm currently wondering how the authors filled so many pages which what basically comes down to: the three of them fall in love, Noah gets into a shooting and quits being a cop, Tobias quits being a vet and becomes a partner at the club. Oh also, there's more collaring going on.
So... I liked it. When Tobias got the call that Noah was in the hospital I was SO sure that this was the drama I had been waiting for, but it lasted only a page or two. ^^;; You want hot BDSM and gay sex, cool characters? This is the book for you. You want a plot with climax (...) and catharsis and all that? Go read LotR or something like that.
Tobias got more likable during this book... I like it when he actually wants to bottom for Noah (and that Phan apparently can't stand the thought *lol*). I don't like how happy the three of them are. There's no work and too much romance, too many 'I love you's, but that might just be me.
Quotes? later, maybe. :P Go buy the darn books, they're hot as hell if nothing else.
One more thing: if I were a Dom, I wouldn't call myself Tom. Tom the Dom. XD Stick to Thomas or something, really.
