Okay, so what's going on these days, last weekend and the next and in between. XD
September started out great with
KAT, our local anime fan meeting (it's not a convention, just people with similar interests getting together to talk, raid a comic shop, eat at a Chinese restaurant because we can't afford Japanese and then return to a youth center to hang out, watch animes and do stuff our creative team (aka the Orga) comes up with). This time we had a karaoke contest (which was more or less a funnyn performance contest; concept doesn't work for me personally, but it was a lot of fun anyway). I sported a headache earlier on Saturday and after taking a pain killer spend an hour or so lieing down (even though it was noisy around me and I still got a little sleep) before we made a video for on eof us who's currently studying Down Under (we "sang" Happy Birthday... wa smore like bawling and then made a few clips congratulating him, hope to see the whole thing on youtube ^^x). As for animes, 'Kiki's Delivery Service' and 'My Neighbour Totoro' were shown for those who still didn't know these Ghibli classics (and for all those who didn't mind watching them for the umpteenth time. Both are beautiful movies, I totally recommend them. :)
Well~, most of the 'hanging out' isn't really something I can report here, but we generally have fun together (and we're also being stupid, a lot, talking funny with high pitched voices, making fools of each other or stealing cake from the guys who stole our designated parking lot by putting up a giant tent with shows for little children). I think it was around 3 or 4am when I fell asleep; we had this comfortable giant matress, but lots of peopl efound it comfy so it was quite crowded. Still better than the floor and I had by cuddly cushion with me.
We got up late on Sunday (almost noon) and played Cranium after breakfast (the latter being kinda improvised, we really need to work on that), then I got home and didn't study, again. Damn.
Okay, next weekend sees one of the biggest German anime conventions, the
Connichi. :) I don't go there as a visitor though, I work there. Nope, no money is being made at all, not a single dime. I'm there for the people, the atmosphere, it's awesome (as conventions go). It doesn't even matter that I'm not into animes and such as much as I used to be.
I hope to make a few videos there and put them up on youtube. Which brings me to another thing: it's my birthday on Thursday (September 6th), I'll be 22, and I hope to get a digital camera - cuz without one: no video and the whole youtube thing really got me.
So, this is basically what I'm doing. :)
